Retriving Cart Amount in Magento

The following code will be helpful to get the cart totals informaiton in magento.

Mage::getSingleton('core/session', array('name'=>'frontend'));

$session = Mage::getSingleton('checkout/session');

$totals = $session->getQuote()->getTotals();
